# Modelling the light curve of 'Oumuamua: evidence for torque and disc-like shape

Sergey Mashchenko, 2019. _Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society_.

The first physical light-curve inversion with optional torque. Best fits are a thin disc (1:6) and a thin cigar (1:8), both tumbling and both needing a torque of the size outgassing produces in Solar System comets. Argues from the depth of the minima that the disc is far more probable (91 per cent against 16 per cent). MNRAS 489, 3003-3021.
