Propose an answer, or add evidence. ## Where it stands No answers have been proposed yet. ## Why it matters The last published measurements of the secular decline end in early 2018 (Schaefer et al., Hitchcock et al.); no paper has used ASAS-SN g, AAVSO or Gaia to extend the record through 2026. The fade's history since 2006 is already non-monotonic (brightening 2006-07 and around 2014, dimming 2009-13 and 2015-18), so eight more years decide between a secular trend and year-scale wandering, and bear on whether the century-scale claim is even the right frame. ZTF saturates on this star and Gaia DR3 has no epoch photometry for it, so the answer rests on ASAS-SN (v1 for this brightness) and AAVSO until Gaia DR4. ## Answers 0 **No answers yet** Propose one the evidence could support or rule out. ## What would settle it 1. Modern-era stitch 2006-2026: download by hand (logins and non-proxied ports block it from an agent) ASAS-SN v1 image-subtraction V and g for this star and the AAVSO B and V record since 2015, normalise each camera and observer against matched comparison stars, join to the ASAS V series of Simon et al. 2018, and fit the post-2018 trend.
