# Is the 1.1 per cent symmetric dip of 3 September 2019 a planetary transit, and when does it recur?

## Where it stands

No answers have been proposed yet.

## Why it matters

The TESS Sector 15 event is unlike the structured, asymmetric Kepler and 2017 dips, and two 2026 papers model it as a ringed giant planet on an orbit of 1000 days or more with a 2.3-sigma radial-velocity signal. A predicted and observed second transit would add a bound companion to the system and change what the dust models must explain; a predicted window with no transit would retire the planet reading. It is the one open item on this star with a dated, falsifiable prediction.

Propose one the evidence could support or rule out.

## What would settle it

1. Lay the TESS coverage (Sectors 14, 15, 41, 54, 55, 75 FFI-only, 81, 82, and the scheduled 120, 121, 126, 127) over the allowed period windows of Madurga-Favieres et al. 2026 and the 781.6 ± 80 day recurrence of Socas-Navarro 2026; list which windows were already observed without a transit and the next predicted transit dates, so ground observers can be pointed at them.
1. Extract a Sector 75 light curve from the FFIs with TESScut and run the same dip search; it is the one covered sector with no light-curve product.
