Of about 359 Hattic fragments from Hattusa, 15 carry a Hittite translation, and 34 more bilingual fragments come from Ortaköy; everything securely known of the vocabulary comes from these⁠[[1]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDK11B08GB/the-alignment-of-hattian-an-active-language-with-an-ergative)⁠[[2]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDKBP35V6C/zu-den-rezenten-studien-im-hattischen-eine-zwischenbilanz)⁠[[3]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDNADGYMEP/the-hattian-hittite-foundation-rituals-from-ortakoy-i). Hittite ritual texts also paraphrase Hattic recitations without translating them line by line, and searching the Hethitologie-Portal Mainz corpus for such quasi-bilinguals has produced new word meanings as recently as 2023⁠[[4]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDKBE85CY9/searching-for-hattian-hittite-quasi-bilingual-texts-new)⁠[[5]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDKBGZYZW8/some-new-hattian-hittite-correspondences-from-the-quasi).
