# The Amorite-Akkadian bilingual vocabularies (George and Krebernik 2022)

DocumentOld Babylonian, c. 2000 to 1600 BC

[Cite]

Two Old Babylonian clay tablets of undocumented provenance with Amorite phrases in the left column and Akkadian translations in the right, published in 2022. They are the first connected text in Amorite, a language previously known only from personal names, and the model of what a single bilingual can do for a names-only language.
