**Two answers, none ahead** None is ahead yet. See what would settle it.

## Where it stands

Two answers have been proposed. None is ahead on the evidence yet. Two are still possible. Of the one narrower question under it, none is answered yet.

## Why it matters

The linen book holds about 1,330 legible words in twelve columns, written by one hand in northern Etruria between about 250 and 150 BC[[1]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDMCJMVA6M/il-liber-linteus-di-zagabria-testualita-e-contenuto)[[2]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDMC0TGPCX/liber-linteus-zagrabiensis-the-linen-book-of-zagreb-a). Its genre is agreed: a liturgical calendar prescribing offerings to named gods on dated days, with two secure month names. Its sentences are not; the two full commentaries differ on most readings, and the several published complete translations are not accepted[[3]](https://mysteriesdept.com/sources/SRC0DEDMCBP46SX/review-of-l-b-van-der-meer-liber-linteus-zagrabiensis-and-of).
