Norway spruce, four dated series, 1578–1686. Comparable ITRDB series exist for other instruments, for example Mittenwald violins (GERM062, GERM063, GERM064) and a French violin (FRAN040), which allow a test of whether Cremonese wood is more even than contemporary wood.
